Cinematography & Production Support
Director of Photography and local production partner for Italian and international productions, from pre-production through delivery.

Director of Photography
My work starts before the camera rolls: reading the script, walking the location, deciding what the light needs to say in every scene. I work on commercials, documentaries and branded content for production companies, agencies and brands, Italian and international.

Camera Operator
Sometimes a production needs hands on the camera, not another voice in the room. I operate as well as light, especially on smaller sets or when continuity between DP and operator matters more than anything else.

Local Production Support
For productions coming to Italy, I'm often the first local call. I handle what's within my expertise: crew, equipment, location knowledge, logistics. For everything else, including permits and bureaucratic paperwork, I bring in trusted colleagues. Nobody improvises on things they don't know inside out.
Crew
Gaffers, camera assistants, sound, production managers: all experienced with international teams.Equipment
My own Sony FX Cinema Line kit, plus reliable rental partners for anything beyond it.Logistics
From Tuscany to Rome, from the Amalfi Coast to the Dolomites: knowing what's accessible and how long things really take.
Interviews
A large part of my recent work: statements, expert commentary and testimonials, filmed with one camera or several, with B-roll coverage when the piece needs it. I can also stream the live camera feed into a Zoom or Meet call, so an interviewer anywhere in the world can run the conversation in real time while the footage records in camera at full quality. Teleprompter and professional microphones come as standard.

Editing & Post-Production
Some jobs end when I hand over the footage. Others need the finished piece, and I can take them all the way there. Editing, colour correction and grading, titles and subtitles, music, sound mix, VFX and compositing.
I work the same way I do on set: with specialists I trust in each area, editors, colourists and sound engineers, and I supervise the whole chain on the client's behalf. One person to talk to, people who do that one thing every day doing the work. For Encord x MMI I shot the interview and then delivered the finished film, edit, colour correction, titles, subtitles and music included.
Workflow
The first step is always a direct conversation, not a form to fill out. From there: location scout (in person or remote, depending on the timeline), visual look definition with the director or brand, technical prep with the crew, shoot day, delivery in whatever format the production needs.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do you handle permits and paperwork?
Not directly. Permits and bureaucracy aren't my area. I work with trusted local colleagues who handle that side, so nothing falls through the cracks. My job is the image; theirs is making sure we're legally allowed to shoot it.
Do you provide your own equipment?
Yes. A Sony FX Cinema Line kit as a base, plus reliable rental partners across Italy for anything beyond it.
Do you also handle editing and post-production?
Yes. I can deliver a finished piece, not just the footage: editing, colour correction and grading, titles and subtitles, music, sound mix, VFX and compositing. I work with specialists I trust in each area and supervise the chain on the client's behalf, so there's one person answering for the result.
Do you travel outside Tuscany?
Yes, across Italy. I'm based in Florence but I've worked from the Amalfi Coast to the Dolomites, from Rome to the Alps.
What languages do you work in?
Italian and English, on set and in prep.
How do I get started?
Write or call. The first step is always a conversation. I'll tell you straight what's realistic and what you need.
